Now would be a good time to focus on your Emotions...

I'm sure you've got a lot going on right now, and self-care is probably low down your priority list.

Motherhood is truly a unique experience. It can bring with it an intense and extreme range of emotions. Know this is normal. This can often be the most vulnerable time of your life. Try and find compassion for yourself through this time.

It is important for healthy emotional responses and resilience to become aware of how you feel, identify and name that emotion, validate it - tell yourself this is normal, feel into the emotion, and try and let it go. Here are some great ways to get more connected with your emotions and some tools to help you let them go:

1. Tapping / Emotional Freedom Technique (more about this later πŸ‘‡)
2. Journalling / Emotion tracking
3. Find a coach, therapist, mentor
4. Set healthy boundaries - say no without feeling guilt
5. Pre-Ask - set expectations for what you need in advance
6. Meditation - see if you can start a daily practice of just a few minutes
7. Gratitude - write or mentally list things you are grateful for
8. Improve your emotional language - start sharing how you feel a little more
9. Reduce social media/news consumption - unfollow accounts that don't make you feel good
10. Positive affirmations + mantras - find one or two to work on and repeat, tapping them in helps too!

Try and find time for you each day, even just a few minutes to check in with yourself, ask yourself 'am I happy?', 'what came up today?', 'what do I need to let go of'? Then start using one of the above practices to help you on a daily or regular basis.

Hi, I'm Sarah...

In case you're new to my world here's a little bit about me.

I'm a mum of 3 children, Alice our first born is sadly not with us. Her birth and loss threw me into a deep state of trauma, grief and depression. Pregnant with my second baby, I found Emotional Freedom Technique or Tapping.

This technique saved me. It continues to improve my life beyond belief and I am now committed to sharing it as far and wide as possible.

My passion is to hold space for Mums to connect with themselves like they never have before. To help them let go of emotions, traumas, and beliefs of the past - so they can step into who they are truly here to be and live the life they've always dreamed of.
