Understanding Burnout

Burnout goes beyond everyday stress—it's a state of emotional, physical, and mental exhaustion caused by prolonged and overwhelming demands. Common signs of burnout include:
- Physical and emotional fatigue that doesn’t improve with rest
- Reduced motivation or interest in activities once enjoyed
- Feelings of detachment from work or loved ones
- Increased irritability or frustration

Steps You Can Take to Reclaim Your Energy

Addressing burnout requires more than just “pushing through.” Taking steps to support your well-being can help, such as:
1. Setting Boundaries: Start to identify areas where you’re overstretched and consider ways to ease those demands.
2. Practicing Self-Compassion: Burnout can bring feelings of guilt or inadequacy. Practicing self-compassion can ease that burden.

3. Trying Tapping for Release: This video offers a simple tapping practice designed to release tension and restore a sense of calm. Tapping can help to manage stress responses and give you the space to reconnect with yourself.

When to Seek Further Support

If burnout is deeply affecting your daily life, it may be time to seek professional support. Speaking to a nutritionist to support your physical recover, a  therapist or counsellor can provide the help you need, while exploring additional wellness tools like mindfulness, exercise, or EFT tapping can complement this journey toward recovery.

In case you're new to my world here's a little bit about me.

I'm a mum of 3 children, Alice our first born is sadly not with us. Her birth and loss threw me into a deep state of trauma, grief and depression. Pregnant with my second baby, I found Emotional Freedom Technique or Tapping.

This technique saved me. It continues to improve my life beyond belief and I am now committed to sharing it as far and wide as possible.

My passion is to hold space for Mums to connect with themselves like they never have before. To help them let go of emotions, traumas, and beliefs of the past - so they can step into who they are truly here to be and live the life they've always dreamed of.
